Awakening Minds, LLC was started by our founder and CEO, José A. Oliver, as under his 25+ years of exposure
in the manufacturing industry, he noticed that there is untapped potential in organizations
mainly driven by the untapped potential of their people.  
The systems and processes these organizations follow have limited their growth,
and their people go to work with the only expectation of getting paid.

And the main reason is that Leadership Development Structures continue to lag in  most organizations.

We understand that each organization is unique, and while the pain points might be similar, the way to solve them can be different.  
That's why we recommend to start our relationship through an assessment.
Our assessments identify blind spots mainly in Mindset, Leadership & Communication.

Once the assessment is executed, a debrief and scenarios to overcome the (now identified) challenges are presented.
The results of the assessment can become a social accountability contract.

Asleep people acknowledge they have authority over a specific team or department and are responsible for organizing, planning, and directing the work of their subordinates. Subsequently, they focus on tasks, processes, and ensure that deadlines and objectives are met. Their main goal is to efficiently accomplish the organizational objectives within the established parameters and guidelines.  

In contrast, awakened leaders focus on influencing and guiding their team to achieve broader, and often longer-term goals. They inspire and empower their team members, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting enthusiasm and innovation. They tend to prioritize the development and personal growth of their team members and may often lead by example, emphasizing values and fostering a shared vision.  

Managers are typically appointed due to their experience and expertise in their field, but leaders can emerge from any level of an organization based on their ability to inspire, motivate, and guide others.

Both roles are essential for the success of an organization, striking a balance between effective management and impactful leadership is crucial in promoting a thriving and dynamic work environment.

Meet Our Founder & CEO

With a background in Electronic Engineering, Mr. Oliver started his career as a sales engineer for organizations with customers around the world and serving in different industries, and he exceeded sales quotas every year. With an entrepreneurship spirit, he started and led a company for 3 years that evolved from a consulting firm to a systems integration (machine builder) company, where he led up to 25 people at the peak of this company’s growth journey. He was invited to join a larger systems integration corporation and moved to the United States to get closer to the company’s operations team.

Based on his success, he was often invited to join organizations where he was focused on developing new territories and markets. His exposure to manufacturing companies in the life sciences industry helped him understand the importance of regulations and methods to comply with them. With a spirit of servanthood, he studied and got certified in several disciplines to start a new organization that aims to provide personal and organizational behavior enhancement tools applied to Leadership.

His experience in the Leadership training arena as facilitator include 360 degree leadership assessments at the Air-Force, training mid-level managers on leadership skills, and deployment of online training sessions for personal growth. His certifications include Maxwell Leadership, DISC Advanced Behavioral Analysis Consultant, Dr. Amen’s Brain Health Coach, EQ Project, and OKR Professional, among others.
